About five months ago, with great reluctance, I began teaching a new student via online. In the past 18 years, I have never found the online audio and visual clarity nessesary for teaching, until now. I would help someone occasionally with a single coaching in a pinch in past years always with a bit of cyber frustration. I have tested this with 5 students, working regularly, once a week across the country and finally I feel it is working really well. In fact, singing in their own homes has reduced stress, especially for my Los Angeles student. No commute, no traffic, all in the comfort of her own home.
The proof is in the pudding. My student from Augusta, Georgia recieved 19 college call backs at Thes Con and won a scholarship for a New York summer intensive. And I have never met her live! I measure the difference by the sucesses of the each student and I am finding great improvement.
