Wednesday and MorticiaAt the beginning of 2018, I was one of 8 professional instructors to work with students at Jackson Hole High School for a series of performance arts clinics called Bridging The Gap. Bridging The Gap is a program brought to community's through the non-profit Big City Broadway. These clinics helped lead into auditions for the musical Damn Yankee’s, which I directed. The results from the training were astounding!
In April of 2018, we came to Sheridan to visit for the first time. There was an authentic, warm sense we felt during our 3 day visit. With no intention to even look at homes, we ended up putting in an offer as we were driving home. Within the first month of being here I was encouraged to audition for the local WYO theatre's production of The Addams Family. It was a delight to learn and explore the role of Morticia. The best part of the experience was the cast and crew. Again the same authentic, warm feeling was indeed true after getting to know the folks at the Wyo Theatre.
Addams Family closed and I left for Arizona to open as Donna in the musical production Mama Mia a quick 4 days after. This is something I have never done before in my professional career, but it was a welcome challenge to exercise my brain.

I have been very selective about performing much in the last 20 years because of family and the high demand of it. I choose to occasionally perform because it make's me a better teacher. My performance experience has brought forward knowledge beyond what my 13 years of vocal education gave to me. I had some of the country's best, and after teaching the last 18 years, I recognize the value of what my front line experience brings into voice lessons.
I find great joy teaching students from Texas to Georgia via FaceTime or Zoom as well as live here in Sheridan.
